 I was inspired by the surface reflection of the aquarium at the Long Beach Aquarium, CA.

Lustrous Fowl - home studio

 

I combined the bird wing and salmon skin to create what I call my "Lustrous Fowl".

 I was making dinner and I couldn't help but notice the shimmery quality and patterning of this salmon skin.

I came across this portion of a decayed bird wing while walking around.

Swirl Goldfish - home studio

 I layered and rotated one single motif in Photoshop to achieve this look, my "Swirl Goldfish"  I like the fluidity in the artwork that allows your eye to travel.

I rally love goldfishes, I think there's a peaceful quality about them.  And besides, who doesn't like goldfishes.  This sketch was done with watercolor and color pencil.
