Walking Around - Astoria, Queens

There seems to be a theme here - Love is in the air.  Always love yourself.

Notepad Sketch - home studio

Quick pencil sketch I did in 3-5mins.

Nature - Astoria, Queens

My friend had her front yard formerly dubbed "The Jungle" weed whacked.  Hidden in the midst of the thick were these two shells.  They placed the shells out on an old tree stumped that were harboring these foamy type of mushrooms.

Poodle & Dog house - home studio

This is a page I did from a postcard book I'd like to create.

The Ground - Prospect Park, Brooklyn

Deceased on the pavement was this beautiful young bird.  To honor it, I created an effect in Photoshop that evoked an ethereal feeling.  I thought the image was peaceful, but one of my friends thought it was creepy.

Tribal Crayon - home studio

After repeating the image it created this tribal effect, so I call this print my "Tribal Crayon".

I took a photo of crayons and I mirrored the image.

The Ground - Koreantown, NY

I was walking to my class and I found this.   I wonder how this image came to be, maybe it was a drunken night for somebody.

Man VS. Nature - NY

The wall of a correctional facility in Chinatown, NY.

The ground of the Carona Park parking lot in Queens, NY.

The side of a construction workers disposal bin in Flatiron District, NY.

The side of a building in a parking lot in Flatiron District, NY.
The front of a garage door in Queens, NY.

The side of an apartment complex off of St. Marks, NY.

A poll in front of a fire station in Chinatown, NY.

A temporary wall at a construction sight in Astor Place, NY.

It's beautiful how time and Nature seamlessly uses man made structures as her canvass.
Lets manifest together......I would like to have these photos printed on canvass and submit this collection to MOMA.  Help me send out good vibes, repost, or whatever way you would like to help out.  Lets see where this leads.

Music - Slave to the Rhythm by GRACE JONES

I was simply in awe when I saw Grace Jones performing with her hula hoop, who knew a hula hoop could make such a great stage prop.  And catch her killer legs, she was born in 1948 by the way.

Grace Jones - home tudio

I thought this print was fitting for Grace Jones so I designed this costume as Crystal Spike Queen.  Lets help manifest this into reality.  Send your positive energy, repost, or whatever you like.  Lets see what happens.

I mirrored the oyster mushroom to create a kaleidoscope look and I added the crystal spikes along the bottom and two large spikes mirrored along the top.  I call this print "Crystal Cavern".

The underside of a cluster of oyster mushrooms.  I was making dinner when captured this photo.

A large crystal taken at the Natural History Museum, NYC.

Short Film - Mismatched by TANYA LAUREN

My friend created this short film for CFC 2012.  She wrote, produced, acted and had it edited all within 7 days.

Portrait - Marina Del Rey, Los Angeles

Beyonce diva fan hair............The wind kicked up and it gave my friend I great wind blown hair.

Nature - Marina Del Rey, Los Angeles

Paper Tree.....I have no idea what the species of tree this is.  The flaky, thin, crispness of the bark reminds me of paper.  As far as trees are concerned, her energy feels like that of a late teenager or mid twenties.

Indian Sun Flower - home studio

I took the photo into Photoshop and manipulated it, I threw some "wind" at it.  This beautiful ikat look was created.  "Indian Sun Flower" was the perfect name for it.

I took this photo at the Venice Canals, Los Angeles.  I was struck by the fiery beauty of these flowers.

Street Art - Melrose, Los Angeles

So romantic, don't they make the cutest couple.

Abandoned Building - Inglewood, Los Angeles

Burned down apartment complex.  It's interesting to think of how life was before the complex was abandoned.  Standing in front of it, you couldn't help but feel an eerienes bestwoed upon you........ sometimes I like being creeped out.

The Ground - West Hollywood, Los Angeles

Don't forget to look down.  I always find beautiful things on the ground.  These pebbles are standing on their side, the texture is really pretty.

Nature - West Hollywood, Los Angeles

I love the subtle beauty of the white washed rings, and the texture of the circular cut tree limbs and branches.  These were used much like tiles to the cover the face of the check out counter at a candle store.  Nature definitely painted a stroke of peaceful energy across these limbs.  I want a wall like this in my house, so zen like.

Window Display - West Hollywood, Los Angeles

I love the interesting materials used to create these pieces.

Bike Sign - West Hollywood, Los Angeles

I saw this bike sign and I thought it was so cute, but then I thought about the fact that not all bicyclists obey the law.....

So I came up with a scenario.......

Nobody wins.

Lunch - West Hollywood, Los Angeles

Hamburger Mary's.......yum, yum.

Nature - West Hollywood, Los Angeles

Close up of bark of palm tree.

Close up of root of palm tree.  I love the roots of trees, sometimes roots take on a look of the intertwining community of beings.

Palm trees always remind me of sunny California.

Street Art - Melrose, Los Angeles

After accompanying my best friend to her acting class, I came across this graffiti art based on the best selling children's book by American writer and illustrator Maurice Sendak for Where the Wild Things Are.  Of course Maurice didn't tag up this wall himself, I'm not sure who the artist or artists are (there seems to be multiple autographs in the artwork) but it's simply smashing.  Maurice passed away in May 8, 2012 so I'm sure we can all acknowledge our appreciation of the joy his work has created.
